My Casio VL-1 (you know, the “Da Da Da” one) can actually do a little bit of sound design - had no idea!!!
Has 2 LFO’s and ADSR for use on the stock waveforms.

No free waldorf. You might be thinking of my $200 doepfer dark energy and moogerfooger deal 
(which is basically free) but I’ve gotten more free gear than I’ve bought. So many of my favorite and most used bits of gear were basically ‘junk’ to the previous owner and most were very happy to clear out some studio space and give their old gear a 2nd life. My set up is ramshackle af, using 1/4" adapters and headphone cables instead of instrument cables on most of my stuff rn. Ground loop hum be damned; thats just part of the sound here

yeah should be interesting, it has a dead screen (which is a notorious problem with this series). Replacement is $200 not bad, another company sells a VGA adapter kit so you can hook it up a computer monitor for around the same price.
Really have no clue what this is capable of tbh. I posted a pic of my new soldering iron and the friend sent a message over asking if i wanted to ‘tinker’ with it. Apparently its been sitting in the backroom of his pro audio shop for ages and no one wants to touch it.
The main problem is that its fuckin massive, gonna need to rearrange my whole room if i want to integrate it into the set-up.

nice!! i love the way those sound, how are the buttons on yours? I was gonna buy one a while back off a mate but some of the buttons always double triggered and it was v annoying
