Yeah I just saw that one for sale for €225. Another ‘broadcast mic’ that’s actually
multi-purpose.
I think there’s something in the fact that then don’t have such a bad proximity effect
probably buying a Prophet 08 PE module in August…should just about round out my synth needs…
nice…I just can’t allow myself anything that gets me too close to modular land…although all the demos of the Pittsburgh stuff sound great.
I really like my current setup…I just want a poly analog and a few nice fx then I’ll be happy for a while…would like to add a nice drum machine at some point too…but with the E2 and Maschine I really have that well covered. the only other thing that would be nice is a multi timbral VA with multiple outs…but I can live w/o that.
thinking the Strymon Timeline will suit the P08 nicely…
Got a red sound synth bundle on eBay;
Dark star
Federation EFX unit
Elevata (1 or only 250 ever made)
Next on the purchase list is;
Beatstep Pro
Eventide Space
And was watching the video of the Roland MX1 yesterday which looks fun.
@fragments The Prophet 08 module would be so great!!
@tabasco Nice!! That Red Sound bundle looks awesome.
I’ve been wanting to get some Eventide effects in my setup. The Timefactor and Space sound great. I have been checking this out, which was just released recently, the H9:
Arrgh if anyone would just buy my guitar already I’d be so happy! Seems like €780 / £550 is too much to ask for a Fender FSR 1972 Telecaster Deluxe.
edit
What?! I didn’t mean for this post to be a reply.
Arturia BeatStep Pro Sequencing 10 Analog Synths and Ableton Live
My mic arrived yesterday. Gonna get saving for an sm57 and maybe a Chinese ribbon. Nady RSM or St.
Just bought a glockenspiel trapped inside a mini table
so im gonna try to steampunk that bitch into
and then probably drop that in an aquarium
and i want one of these (no neptunes)
ps: shout outs to LD
Mini glockenspiel is sick.
I rly want a toy glockenspiel which I will attach contact mics to.
That’s water phone thing looks groovy
yeah man steamengine-dm

Yes, definitely want one. I’m starting to see them pop up in music stores here and there.
I recently got a pitch factor. I’ve mostly been producing acoustic music since I’ve had it, but it does something really special on both vox and guitar (especially acoustic guitar). I’ve also used it live on modular synths a few times, where it really excels! My buddy has a black hole reverb and it is also stellar…sorry for the pun. I really like the form factor’s combination of lots of hands on control and sound quality. I also have a rack mount lexicon, which is a pain in the ass to edit, so I’m much less likely to find all the cool extreme things it can do. Something to consider if you go for the all in one pedal that has limited physical controls.
Yeah, the hands on control is one of the things that I don’t like about the H9. But the again, I often just set the effects and run it. Except for delays.
Not relevant to what anyone is talking about, but I just walked out of guitar center with some brand new HS8’s. Felt like I had to tell somebody. If anyone has been wanting to get them, apparently there’s a sale going on buy one get the second half off. Don’t know if it was just my guitar center, but the guy told me they didn’t advertise it at all. Weird.
I’m wondering if I should ditch the Sub 37 and rather go all modular.
Like, do I want to experiment more or be more musical.
Need some help making a decision. Friday I’m either trying to buy a decent mic and some weird acoustic instruments (little stuff) or an epiphone Sheraton II or a minibrute (maybe microkorg for the poly) any suggestions?
i think if you’re on the verge and theres a nutty choice and a safer choice then choose the nuttier option, because you where at least ‘considerate’ enough to include or think of the safe choice in the first place
