I sincerely like this, but it’s borderline guilty pleasure imo. It’s garage-y soft boi downtempo but the guy who runs the label (Fent Plates + White Peach) also happened to release some of the best dubstep 12"s this year. The EP is actually very solid, but the 2nd last track is unbelievably cheesy.
I don’t think you should feel guilty about liking anything sorrow puts out, certified badman
yeah true. He’s in-touch with truheadedness for a producer who makes emo-bait garage / downtempo for listeners who aren’t necessarily fans of garage. But then again I shouldn’t be surprised cause he cut his teeth in production making grime back in the day.
^^^^^ He apparently made this back in 2007.
I also mentioned how this is a guilty pleasure. Hits the sweet spot between pop sensibilities / 140 2-step influences / heart-melting singing perfectly.
don’t really feel guilty about this at all (even got the record) but it’s still a bit bait and there’s no thread for poppy bassline
Some people were thinking this track was shit (and honestly, rightfully so) so this track belongs here now.
One man’s trash… is another man’s glistening shard of a broken beer bottle found at a beach.
Not really guilty. It’s a bit stupid but it’s such a fun album. How the fuck did tony hawk end up agreeing to this video lol
shit really hasn’t aged that well, but I remember thinking it was very well produced at the time. this cat is a finn too
It’s kinda charming tbf
yeah in terms of late noughties style of almost proto-brostep it’s sort of tasteful to say the least. you can hear he’s somewhat musical
It is only guilty pleasure cuz parts of the chorus sounds like Adele lol which it could do without but the rest is catchy
