So much great music about atm. Was getting a bit jaded with the London-centric Jazz/Dance crossover stuff that gets pushed all the time. Some of it reminds of being in awful nightclubs with a bloke saxophoning over house music tbh.

Wes straight shreddin’. Just gliding across the groove. So good.

Bought the reissue of The Elements last week. This tune is something else, just on the perfect edge of spiritual/free yet accessible

I didn’t realise the og version wasn’t famous in the US.
Played it on Dubtrack and @Phigure said he had never heard it before

ngl, probably wouldnt know of the stranglers if guy ritchie hadnt used it in snatch tbh

It deff seems like just a uk thing.

The start must sound wack to ppl hearing for first time lol. Then you get used to the old timey goblin harpsicord waltz and it starts to sound good espesh when the guitar comes in

i like me some harpsichord, underrated instrument really

check out that sick harpsichord solo at 4:00

edit: also that whole deep purple album is sick, used to think they were just the “smoke on the water” dudes but it made me reconsider
