I just think it’s unnecessary when music is such a subjective thing, one mans music is another mans noise and all that. Rather than being about tunes being overrated, the thread has turned into a kind of like ‘i don’t like this tune or that tune’ which for me is disrespectful to the artist who spent the time creating something.

I think that saying you dislike something is fair game though, largely because music is subjective. It doesn’t matter how much time you spent on it, someone out there is going to shit on it. As well as that I think it’s less ugly on the forum’s part that these convos happen in a thread like this rather than a “crap tunes” thread.

Yeah it’s no biggie, just doesn’t ‘feel’ right to me. My kind of philosophy on this is that if you haven’t got anything nice to say about a tune, don’t say anything.

If you mean as in to suggest that other people ‘should’ like it, then no one is. But you can express your own feelings on it all day. Anyway the horse is well and truly dead now, as you were
