Apologies guys, I missed two entries so I’m going to redo the poll in a minute here.

Alright, Poll is fixed now. There have been 2 tracks added to the playlist.

Haven’t had time to listen through all of the submissions yet, but I’ll prolly get to it tomorrow and vote.

Unless of course you’re making drums.

I have a production question. If im using a drum loop and I want a synth sample to fit well with the drum loop, what are some recommendations for bringing these two elements together?

in other words, the drum loop is jungle/ drum & bass and the synth sample is happy hardcore. they dont really sync together without more attention to detail but im at a loss of what to do next to bring these elements together.

Timestretch it and pitch it.

Big fookin ups m8

Or chop and resequence

Sick. I’m going for that Spor kinda vibe but ima make it my own. Definitely a challenge. Got my work cut out for me!

The best way to “glue” sounds together and make them sound like they came from the same sound source is Compression. It would be your next step after @MKS’ suggestion that you align the material correctly first.

Chop out some nice bits, add fx, resample, throw it in a sampler and play some notes

Im listening to Rhythmic Interest 2 v 04 SC Fix again. WOw. This sounds like serious skill.
