perhaps unpopular opinion but do we even need a theme/specific genre? sample pack competition were always just that, take these samples and do whatever you want/can with it

I disagree with your disagree. Not really many other genres using live drums that have plenty of breaks or drum solos to sample from (not talking about a garage producer that hired a drummer, or house tunes with sampled live one shots)

Yeah jazz is definitely a good one for live drumming, bit i would think the time sigs/style of playing wouldnt lend itself to gnarly jungle breaks as much as rock/metal.
