The Gender Gap in Music

….which then leads to an obsession with cosmetics, clothing, and beauty treatments
further depleting my monies…making me even less capable
of entertaining opinionated ungrateful pricks…

but may score me a lay eventually - reinforcing sexualization/babyfication
as the pinnacle of human success…

…and why females are so graciously excused from serving as CEO.

This is all just something you would like to say and thats fine.

But it’s not a response to what I’m talking about, which is just chauvanism and how far that goes.

Other than that you are preaching to the choir. :gift_heart: :sunglasses:

Which makes it not about women but about control and sexism

You are not picking an example that is a choice, but like me pointing to systematic sexism or chauvanism and that is just it

…right?

Yes - It is systemic.

Let me say it less cynically…

The reasons why women don’t do things are overwhelmingly the same as men…

it’s expensive, it’s thankless, it’s difficult….

only with girls - they have the added pressure to actually seek happiness
and provide it - in areas more available and comforting

  • family, helping people

they are dissuaded from failure…because who wants to see their girl sad…
Boys can take a few raps to the chin…but the girls

…might cry

…and bleed on everything

soooo……

Remember that guy who said…something like…

“girls aren’t even on a level playing field…
they are literally standing in a hole…”

when I think about it…the systemic forces of arrested development
are huge, numerous, and littered all around females…

It is no surprise to me - to see why women come away from the game.

I saw someone writing about that new Rhianna video…
and how it is a primo example of sexualized violence towards women…
which is a kind of metaphor
to how quick women get jacked as the easiest target…

I disagree with it being about maturity that much or personal development and such, although I understand why it comes up

its way more about having a huge male bureaucracy infront of all women at all times

for me its not up to women to even change that

because that would be like expecting a horse with a broken leg to fix itself

or someone to get out of a hole so deep it’s taller than them

we’ve literally built the world to be able to opress you guys
(even calling you ‘guys’ out of courtecy in this post lol wtfffff - its difficult stuff )

its so insaaaaaaaaane

yeah - and it’s a machine…the systemic

There isn’t even a specific person to be held accountable….

for change…

It’s like a bank being just a thing that holds #'s
but someone has to code you in to access it.

yeah there is

’ dad ’

:joy:

you mean Don…

Trust Me - She did not come in like a wrecking ball.

…watch that satanic money - I’m telling you….

I saw the reference in that video….

The “I Spit on Your Grave” thing….

spit on the grave of the greedy self serving bitch…
spit on the self-conception of the - white - greedy self serving bitch

…in blood red

I know it’s Brickin’

It’s funny if you think about it, besides pop music, there really isn’t a large amount of female musicians. Look back at classic rock, there was like 2 or 3 I can think of. And in more recent times the only one that comes to mind is evenesence or whatever.

I still think it’s less of a gender thing and more of the difficulty of producing. But as far as gender does go the whole scene is more of a guys thing imo.

Says it’s not a gender thing… Implies that producing is too difficult for women…]

edit

I didn’t mean gender at all I just mean its really difficult to produce music. In general the number of producers is very low. 6 years ago or so when I tried to figure it out for the first time the only things I could find online were very discouraging. Things have gotten a lot easier recently so I really hope more people start producing.

Poor effort to cover your tracks, you gross misogynist.

@hubb, for rreallyreal?

 whatever. I’m going to ask my girlfriend why she stopped producing when I get home from work and see what she has to say

May as well tell her it’s because it’s to difficult for people of her gender.

u shouldnt take this guy to seriously tolsof

but yeah, lets just hope more girls and women find the will to want to change it and make more music

I figured he was trolling. If someone’s gotta be trolled might as well be me. I hope more people in general start making new music. I love finding new stuff
