I don’t like Serum cause everybody uses it these days…it probably means that everybody has the same kind of sounds (i mean for the growls) …
Here is a Serum patch that i made a long time ago but FM8 is still my favorite…

Everyone is using serum i think because it uses a lot of the same know-how or “theory” that massive does. Not to mention the “FM from OSC B” is any massive users dream especially considering the current popular sound in bass music. But we’ll move on soon enough I imagine, we always do lol.

massive’s been around for as long as it has and people are STILL finding new sounds. And if those new sounds are oases in the desert of already uses sounds from massive, Serum’s a fuckin tropical rainforest.

Not really…the Ott ( multiband compression ) can help indeed to get some highs lost with the filters or the eq mod (voweling process) but loud without control doesn’t means nice…In most of the cases it gives you some harshy sounds…
