Went in serum and found a screechy FM squarified wave table and another FM spectral wave table and I modulated the Wavetable position of each of them and I used the REMAP 1 algorithm for the first wave table and just brought up the intensity of the wave about 70-80% and the level of the REMAP 1 to about 60. Then I added Distortion, hyper dimension, EQ, Filter on HP 12 setting, then the compressor.
My effect chains looks like this
Phase > EQ > Camel Crusher > compressor > EQ doing a vowel E > EQ doing a vowel OE (I switch back and forth from the EQs being on and off) > Multiband Compression > More compression > EQ > reverb > Tube distortion
Work seriously on your Growl basses instead of sending anythingā¦
I remind you guys that you are on a forum called āTHE OFFICIAL GROWL BASS THREAD 2015ā!!
The sytrus patch is a sine wave frequency modulated by a bunch of random harmonics. Now it should sound like the most horrible thing ever conceived by mankind. then you RM the ear rape oscillator with a sine wave that has āevenā and āhalf enabledā.
Here is a little bass that ST4RBUCK helped me with, I changed the wavetables and modulated the phaser with an LFO then brought the feedback up to 0.99 then changed the dry wet to about 45-50%. Then I modulated the auto filter with a macro and also modulated the scales of two EQs to add the formants. I added an OTT before those EQs and after just because and then added some distortion, compression, and added reverb and some delay
Iād love to know how to do the process of āEQ Modulationā for growl basses to get more vocal movement in them. Can anyone refer me to a video or a post or something of how I could do that? Iām in Ableton and want to try it out on growls I make in the future.
