I’m sorry for you man, I know it’s hard.

ahh man I think you should keep trying, almost all the stuff and make is bad and then 1 out of 100 I really like. Slowly you keep doing it and keep practicing and that gap goes away and you get better and better. From my experience its exponential not linear. Good luck bro, if you need any help I gotch u

R.I.P Official Growl Bass Thread 2015

Was it ever really alive? The only thing I remember learning is to use filterscape for vowels.

It seems as though nobody really uses it anymore and everyone (including myself) are using it to show-off what they have made…

ditto man

i still read this, but been pretty busy though. i dont really have anything constructive to add.

anyone think we should start an official growl bass thread on reddit /r/edmproduction? i already saw @SpiderPubes post something on there.

You can try, but I bet the people there know even less than the guys here do. Plus it’s all electronic genres so far fewer people would be interested.

I had one on 8chan but it got taken down.

Who wants to make a giant Skype call so we can all make a skrillex/ barely alive growl together?

ty for the feedback, yeah i totally understand what u mean… even though there is absolutely no reverb on the growl, only on the strings… the effect comes from the darker mix approach I took and also I think the limiter at the end in mastering did overemphasize the reverb on the strings…

my new things are much cleaner now…even though they sound a little more standard, which is something that bothers me…

https://youtu.be/24RbLt2qGfY?t=2m2s Sounds like it could be a granulation bass but I’m not sure. The down pitch one the hits for a bar then 2 beats.
