I personally think experimenting with low saw waves is a good way to understand how vocals work as for as making skrillex stuff goes, Youāll be able to here and see what happens more when you EQ and add phasers exā¦ Doesnāt matter what phaser EQ or bit crusher you use if you donāt know what it does. Also like Desembra or Spitya said, experiment with EQ mod and reese basses.

I know but you do realise that there are two different sounds right ? I made a extra thread because a Riddim bass isnt a Growl/Reese so it cant be posted here
Oh snap my bad! (^ _ ^); In that case thatās something beyond my knowledge for now. But I can say that from what I found our reesently, he likes to make them with out using a lot of high end first, so the sound comes out the synth with out being distorted. From there he either messes with performer putting it on the volume or filer Fm while using a low pass or Band reject with some resonance on it. Anything extra (beside the amount of voices) is done in the effects chain where he can carefully use filtering and such.

jesus christ thatās distorted to absolute fuck, canāt you put a watermark like a computer generated voice saying your soundcloud name in the background so we can actually hear?

I have to say you got a good base going but in my opinion the growl is still way to distorted (but maybe thats just me I dont know)

Been working on using phasers to really change my sound. I have been experimenting with using a ton of phasers, this one has about 3 and I use a good amount of distortion and EQing oh and OTTz. I am having a hard time taming my sound but I think its going in the right direction.
