Is what I’ve been saying since forever. It’s such a narrow sound creatively that it just started to sound redundant very very quickly. Maybe someone will come along and put a bomb under it, start fucking things up and make it interesting again. But I doubt it.

Nah it wasn’t always this narrow

Once u have a proper look around and connect with the vibe, as with any genre it opens up and the nuances become visceral, interesting differences

Also narrowness is kinda a good sign to an extent imo - it means something resonant and specific has been discovered. It’s easy to have a lightweight variety and broadness in a genre or in an artist’s discography. It’s harder to lock down something really effective. UK drill really tapped into smth imo - the scene just got a bit opportunistic and lazy about exploring it

I was into it a long time ago, but its just got way too formulaic for me in a very short amount of time.
I literally cannot tell one tune from another, flow, bars, beats, percussions, melody. Indentikit imo
