I don’t have time to really sit down and watch 8 hours of live stream, can someone recap some good info from them? What filters used, techniques, etc?
yo so I played around with Serum today and I came up with this its really…wierd but I kind of like it ^^ (also that is just the patch no effects on it so far) !
Go 30 minutes into the 4:30 long stream, he shows a patch labelled “Omega Mode Growl 5”. For the most part he just uses hp filters and two peaking going in towards each other like jaymac did in his nuclear growl. Then he uses soundgoodizer, vocodex, ott a phaser the normal stuff.
How do you guys use vocodex for growls?
Basically shows his FX Chain, I believe it was Soundgooodizer, Fruity Filter, Fruity Phaser, vocodex, OTT, Ohmnicide, Then EQ and a rc48 reverb. Could be wrong, but I believe that’s about it.

Oh yeah not sure if you guys have them yet or not, but I just found out that Virtual riot released some free wavetables for serum!
i legitimately like all of the little clips you post man. all of your stuff sounds like 17x better than mine…in all aspects (mixing/mastering, sound design, arrangement, etc.).
there isnt any way you would post the project file for this clip, would you? its totally cool if you dont want to, i know im asking a lot. if not, would you answer some of the shitload of questions that i have? i have so much to learn.

tbh I thnik its Massive or Serum for that matter its your avarage squishy Growl with a load of Distortion probably a lot of Tube dist and Sine/Parabole shaper

yeah I noticed the one at 1:26…sounds a lot like the Skrillex growls in the Scatta track which is prob my fav that he has done. It is so spot on it sounds sampled.
IMO it sounds literally like Reptile’s. Either way absolutely on point.

Started working with serum, I was wondering, if there a way to make a wave Bend -/+ AND have it take fm from osc A/B?
I love that I can do FM stuff using one of the oscs, but I sacrifice being able to change the spectrum if I wanna do that, any workarounds? Cause thats how I’d get a lot of my growls in massive.
You could export the OSC with Bend -/+ and then import it as a wavetable and then FM it afterwards?
