Same goes for you though yours feels more like just an intro. It’s very good sounds but I want it to be more like a song.
Or have something happen in the middle of it, like it was a scene in a film - something to break away from where it ‘sits’

i feel like you could throw some more incidental stuff in there but it sounds good and i guess you where going for a minimal or black and white sort of thing…
imo it still needs tiny bits of confusion to alert you as to when to lick the fingertip or dip the nose in a bag - maybe like some keith stewardesse samples saying stuff about arrivals or fasten your seatbelt - that sort of thing - -im not taking the piss but thats me enjoying techno from an odd perspective i know… sounds very authentic btw

Kazt3: entirely subjective taste but i don’t like the synth in the intro. the “uhhng” vocal sample sounds a bit too loud in the mix on my headphones. not sure about the long breakdown, especially the risers. aside from that solid beat as usual, really liking the asian-ish melody.
UEEZ2: actually, on a similar tip, i think i like this one better. the main clap could be hitting harder tho i reckon, maybe layer it with something else to give it more snap?
Uffl3: nice one, although a bit “generic trap” to my ears (i barely listen to any trap tho so there’s that…), liking the melody though, what with the robert miles x-files theme vibes
@hubb man that’s sick, only criticism is the vocal sample sounds like it could be a tad louder and you definitely need to finish it/flesh it out (and you should participate to tuna more)
also re: passing the link to deepcity (retitled “i should buy a boat” since) to rap people, not that i think it’s all that great (the sample does all the heavy lifting tbh), if the offer still stands, i’d be curious to hear someone spit on it

I completely get that. Makes more sense with the vocals (in danish that i have yet to record) - - - the intro is sort of a joke leading into the beat when it eventually drops. Cheers

cheers for the feedback tho. I think the track will make more sense with the vocals on,
because a lot of the fx are meant to underline the vocals.
also why some of the sounds are more quiet than a straight up vocal sample normally.

curious, cause i always start with like a very basic tune with vocals and than build around it until i am happy
but i dont want my rap stuff on the qloo sc -beacuse its in danish and fucked up - lol
but i try to do both the writing process and the tune making so they can influence each other. Force each plane to control the other. keep both fluid until they have to be locked down. I hate recording vocals and cant really have headphones on because of my fucked ear ! so it gets loooong.
