Got it.

Will give people until midday Saturday to get them in, so approx 24hrs from now.

My brand new computer is messed up, but dell is sending me a replacement so I’m gonna keep bangin out tunas on this piece of shit. Who cares if it breaks right?

Ok, first batch are here;

@Zosomagick

@Samuel_L_Damnson - your tune wouldn’t let me get at the URL for some reason.

@faultier same issue with yours. Think the issue is when you paste the URL for private tunes, it auto embeds and ‘locks’ it off, so when I select the SC widget it goes to your artist page not the private tune?

@BudSpencertron

Can you both send me your links again as just URLs, without the auto embed?

EDIT - managed to get Samuels by right clicking and going through ‘Page Source’ :smiley: Still having issues with @faultier though :frowning:

EDIT - should be fixed now

The point of this is to give constructive feedback, rather than just telling someone it’s good or not.

Ahh my bad. then i’ll give some positive constructive feedback then if i can.

@zosomagik love the reappropration and incorporating that sample with the rhythmic synths, I think if you continue exploring different ideas and build new synths with motifs that are more central (like a hook melody of some sort) but still are rhythmic in that way that you have, I think you’ll find something to tie the two elements together.

GeNRL loving the jazzy vibes, incorporation of what I assume is live guitar and the sparseness of the sample, I think one thing it could use is one more jazz-oriented instrument, sax, trumpet, piano, what have you, even if it’s as simple as the sample you already have, like a single moment, it’ll make it much stronger.

@faultier I love the editing of the sample on Hi, I think it could go a lot of different directions, you could take it the whole kind of J Dilla-inspired way that you’ve already taken, and bring in kind of big hip hop sounds to the beat, or you could go kind of more broken in the way that the sample is, it’s a cool idea. And Bleedin same thing, except here it sounds more like it could be interesting to go a (sort of) G-Funk kind of direction, I’m not sure the digital beat is working here, maybe incorporate a break, not a classic one, if you can find a really solid not oft-used break i think it’ll make this idea a lot stronger.

sorry if that was too verbose. really enjoyed the music though!

or that we all get so good quickly that we can only respond with a hey thats cool how did you do that !

I’m eyes and I, my track was nowhere near jazzy lol

Added another track from @BudSpencertron

Sorry I got mixed up I thought you were that one, your name was above it and in the Jazz thread you talked about playing guitar, or maybe you didn’t and I put that in my head lol. The one at the top is for you then haha :grimacing:

Yeah, it was me in that thread. Getting a brand new semi-hollow body this week. Boom.
