I really like the lofi-vibe, sub bass slowly coming alive in pulses. The shuffled hats that seem to slow down and speed up. Really dope that it all mutates into a beat, was thinking it would be some weird (in a good way) techno track. Warped vocals reminds me of Burial, the messed up texture goes well against the pad in the background. Getting industrial vibes. Not too sure if I have anything to say on the mixdown, seems to fit the vibe of the track nicely!

Great vibe! Just waiting for that big-ass 808 to kick in, maybe some horn-stabs or something in that nature! That, or a icy-plucky-kinda synth, strings maybe? Snare is nice and snappy, though Iām missing some hi-hats.
Swamp (Work in progress)
Here again, nice vibe combo with the tone of the kick and the stringy-pad thats easing in every bar. In the same vain as in the slipknot one Iām missing maybe some more hi-hats. Also, I can totally get some ideas to what you could do moving on; tuned 808s that make out the bassline, with melody on top either in 8ths or 16ths. Thereās a lot you can do imo

Great vocal sample! Just what I expected from a heavy old-school ish (imo) dub tune. Love the out of tune plucks that lead into the ādropā. Ultra low/heavy sub bass, really diggin it. Shuffled hats on point! Mix might seem a bit dry imo (idk I like reverbs), sub might be a bit ātooā heavy/deep, aka I can feel it more that hear it. Other than that nothing I can

Digging the melody, the small delays and such. Youāve nailed a nice groove with the different samples (noise, breathing?) in combo with the shuffled hats/snare etc. Digging how the bass at some point matches the melody, but still slides into its own themes. My head is bopping!
Also break is perfectly timed. Overall great work! Digging this one! (and congrats on shitty dubs release(?))

Wu Nu Say Mi Fa Do
Fun jittery beat! Snare might be a bit too loud. Like the hats and the short, high-pitched sample going off in the background. Was not expecting the style of the drop, missing some kind of melody over the bassline. Overall samples seem a bit dry (but I do get it, using real drum samples in a dub-tune etc) so your sample selection is on point.

No criteria really. Every few weeks we just post up a thing weāre working on, or weāve finished, and the other give it a critique.

@Pokus - ah youāre DJ Tubgun, wondering who was this dude who followed me haha. Also, thatās my first time entering the Shitty Dub War, or a dubwar of any kind, this was from the first round tho.
Dub Thing: Liking the sunny vibe on this one, fun tune! Could maybe use a bit of variations and shuffles in the percussion, just to add more interest. Could make a more dubbed out version with lots of feedbacked delays and more subs, imo.
Knallpangpang: Nice deep 4x4 tune man, love the drop at 1:40, and a nice buildup before that. Love the pad coming in also, super nice and simple way to do it! Love the buildups and drops in general, keep going!
Dundersmell: Dark, bleak vibe on this one. Donāt really listen to this type of techno that much but liking it so far. The acidy bassline is awesome. If it has acid, Iām half in love already. Again, same thing as for Knallpangpang, nice buildups and drops in energy. Good work man!
@cyclopian - frank manifold: OK, spooky intro, but interesting! Love the sub coming in after the hats. On the Burial tip with that vocal, liking it man. The lead at around 3:30 and after is maybe too loud for me tho, a bit distracting. Maybe not a tune Iād drop mid set, but it would fuck with people I think

Slipknot: Not much to say as itās an intro, but definitely add some volume and panning changes in the drums for interest, and some shuffles here and there.
Swamp: Could be a nice start to a tune, has an interesting pad, and nice drums. Donāt be afraid to make a couple of variations in general, and save them for the 2nd (or 3rd?) drop of the tune.
