I have two subs so far and they absolutely nailed it. The standard has been set.
So good I’m considering scrapping my track and starting over.
Didn’t scrap it just tweaked it and added a new synth
Bit better now but still not confident it hold up against the two subs

Thing about relearning fundamentals while refining an experimental workflow is that IT’S LIKE TRYING TO FIX AN AIRPLANE WHILE FLYING IT - AND LEARNING HOW TO BOTH FLY AND FIX IT - AT THE SAME GODDAMN TIME.
